Moving Ahead Program

Eligibility criteria

For refugees and immigrants, who are living in Surrey or Delta, have multiple needs (i.e., health, housing, financial, etc.) and significant integration barriers (i.e., language, education, life skills, etc.). Contact 604.501.6850 ext. 61130.

Can you access the program directly?
Yes. Anyone can refer, but screening is required prior to admission.

Settlement and Integration Program (SIP)

Eligibility criteria

For permanent residents, refugees, protected persons and live-in-caregivers who require support to settle and adjust to their new life in Canada. Contact 604.572.4060.

Can you access the program directly?
Yes. Self referrals and referrals from community agencies are welcome.

Self referrals and referrals from community agencies are welcome. 

Services for Children with Support Needs (1:1)

Eligibility criteria

Priority is given to school age children. For children and youth (ages 5-18), living in Surrey or Langley, with developmental and/or physical disabilities and/or autism who need one-on-one support in a community setting.

Can you access the program directly?
No. A referral is required. Please get a referral through your Child and Youth Support Needs (CYSN) social worker.

Eligibility criteria

Priority is given to school age children. For children and youth (ages 5-18) with developmental and/or physical disabilities and/or autisim who need group recreational activities to improve social skills and develop friendships with peers.

Can you access the program directly?
No. A referral is required. Please request one from the Ministry of Children and Family Development.
