Moving Ahead Program

At Options Community Services, we believe every newcomer deserves the chance to thrive. The Moving Ahead Program is designed to support immigrants and refugees navigating multiple challenges as they settle into life in Canada.


We provide one-on-one support tailored to each individual's unique needs and goals through a client-centred, holistic approach. Whether accessing essential services, finding housing, improving language skills, or building connections in the community, our dedicated case managers walk alongside clients every step of the way.

 

Our Clients

This program is designed for immigrant adults and families with complex needs living in Surrey and North Delta. We work with:

  • Permanent Residents.
  • Protected Persons (as defined under Section 95 of the IRPA).
  • Individuals approved for Permanent Residency. and holding an official letter from IRCC.

Our Services

  • Initial intake and personalized needs assessment (including home visits).
  • One-on-one case support tailored to each client.
  • Access to a Life Skills Coach to support a wide range of personal and practical needs.
  • Hands-on help navigating community services and resources.
  • Referrals and connections to key service providers.

 

How to Apply

  • Referrals are welcome, but a screening process is required before joining the program.

Languages

  • Culturally sensitive services available in 19 languages, including Arabic, Pashtu, Dari, Spanish, Somali, Rohingya, Tigrinya, French, Turkish, Bengali, Tigre, Amharic, Farsi, Hindi, Urdu, Nuba, Kwalib, Burmese, and Rakhine.
