Support for Parents of Young Children

Raising young children can be difficult for parents and caregivers. The Support for Parents of Young Children (SPYC) program can help to improve both your parenting techniques and your relationship with your children.

How SPYC Works

This program is offered in various formats: individual, one-to-one support, and educational support groups.

Support Group
Join support groups that cover topics including:

  • Positive discipline strategies
  • Self-esteem
  • Anger management
  • Child development

Individual/One-to-One Support
Get free, confidential support from a trained community counsellor. This individualized service includes:

  • Home visits
  • Supportive counselling
  • Resources
  • Community referrals
  • Education on parenting skills, child development, self-esteem, stress/anger management, problem solving and more.

Parents with children 0-6 years old
