Suicide Prevention, Education & Counselling (SPEAC)

Do you have a child that has made a suicide attempt or is at risk of doing so? The Suicide Prevention Education and Counselling (SPEAC) program provides support and tools necessary to significantly reduce the risk of suicide.

The SPEAC program provides suicide risk assessment, urgent-response and short-term counselling for children and youth.  The type of services offered include:

  • Individual and family counselling
  • Risk assessment
  • Consultation

Suicide Prevention Workshops
For schools, community agencies and special interest groups, SPEAC is available for workshops. Participants learn how to identify warning signs of suicide and ways of providing support to those at risk.
