Options Community Services Society Announces CEO retirement and retains executive search firm to recruit its next CEO
With mixed emotions we are sharing that Christine Mohr will be retiring from her role as Chief Executive Officer of Options Community Services Society, effective June 30th, 2025.
“Christine has been the backbone and heart of Options since she joined the organization on January 3, 2006” said Kamaljit Lehal, Board Chair. “It takes a true leader to create the kind of accelerated growth, enhanced community profile and momentum towards financial sustainability that Options has experienced in Christine’s tenure, while nurturing a unique, compassionate and family-oriented culture. Christine has been that leader for almost two decades and will leave a solid legacy upon which the new CEO can build.”
Following a competitive bid process, the Board of Directors has selected PFM Executive Search to lead the recruitment process for the next Chief Executive Officer. Consultations with key groups will begin immediately with a target to have the candidate profile posted publicly in November, and a replacement named next spring to allow for a smooth transition before Christine’s departure.
"We are eager to collaborate with a recruiter like PFM, who has sector-specific experience and a proven track record of working with impactful social services organizations within our province," said Jeff Scott, Board Co-Chair. "This is a pivotal moment for Options. We are confident that our well-structured CEO search and transition process will ensure success both in the short term and long term. Options is well-supported by a talented Executive Team and employee base and a strong and supportive Board of Directors who will ensure continuity of strategic direction, operational performance and change management through the period of leadership evolution.”
