Assisted Living Programs

Eligibility criteria

Potential residents of Options' Assisted Living program are referred by Fraser Health Authority (FHA) through a Housing Application Residential/Tertiary (HART) referral. The HART referral is sent to the Surrey Mental Health and Substance Use (MHSU) for their review. The Assisted Living Program does not accept referrals directly, all inquiries regarding program eligibility will be referred to FHA.

Multicultural Family Preservation Program

Eligibility criteria

For families with children (ages 18 and under) living in Surrey, Delta, White Rock, and Langley who are looking for free, short-term counselling and support in Arabic, Punjabi, Mandarin, and/or Tagalog.

Can you access the program directly?
No.

For My Family

Domestic Violence Intervention Program

Eligibility criteria

Fathers who have physically / emotionally abused or neglected their children and / or exposed them to abusive choices of behaviour towards their mother.

Mothers who have experienced abuse in their intimate relationships.

Referral Process

Dads
Referrals from Ministry of Children and Family Development are given priority. Referrals from Adult Probation, other community resources as well as self-referrals are considered next if space allows. Social workers and other community workers can refer clients to the program by completing the referral form. (Click here for the Referral Form.) Moms

Eligibility criteria

Children and youth in Newton with gang connections or a family history of gang involvement. 

Can you access the program directly?
Yes.

South Asian Family Strengthening Team

Eligibility criteria

South Asian families who feel their children or youth may be at risk of gang involvement, are exhibiting negative behaviours and live primarily in the Newton area. 

Can you access the program directly?
Yes.
