Services to Access Recreation and Resources

The elementary school years can be difficult when you feel like you don’t fit in.

If a child feels left out or detached from their peers, they may find a sense of belonging at Services to Access Recreation and Resources (STARR).

STARR is a group-based, out-of-school program that facilitates recreational and leadership activities.

Fun group activities for participants generally result in:

  • increased self-esteem
  • improved connection with school
  • strengthened positive relationships
