Are there unique challenges for refugee women coming to Canada?


"I was happy to interpret for a Syrian refugee that spoke on The Coast on CBC Radio", says Zahra Al-Zaim, Options Settlement and Youth Settlement Worker.  "Fast forward to 1 h 40 minutes to hear the full interview done with 2 Syrian ladies from Damascus talking about changes in their lives in Canada and especially shifts in gender roles. A story to warm your heart...

On December 6th, a young mother and her two children had a very special holiday moment, courtesy of Champers Salons at their 'Tis the Season charity event.

"Our year has been a struggle. Champers and Options has made our holiday season feel hopeful and grateful. We are so thankful for the wonderful people in this world who bring a little happiness and a smile back to a family that otherwise felt lost."
