WOMEN'S EMPOWERMENT

Women's Empowerment is a 12-week program where women can work with trained, knowledgeable facilitators in the following areas:

  • self-esteem
  • relationships
  • communication
  • assertiveness and advocacy
  • boundaries
  • coping strategies
  • dealing with stress and anger
  • building on strengths
  • decreasing isolation
  • resolving resentment

A certificate is awarded upon completion (based on attendance and participation).

Eligibility criteria

For women with children (18 years old and under), who want to learn about assertiveness and advocacy, boundaries, and coping strategies.

Other referral options

Referrals are also accepted from community or health professionals and other agencies.
